It’s been a big start to the year here at Bā. We’ve been traveling, speaking, publishing and supporting incredible clients doing important work in water. We’re feeling the momentum—and the meaning—of our mission more than ever. Here’s what we’ve been up to lately and what we’re excited to share with you.
This month, we made the trip to Aquatech Amsterdam, one of the world’s largest water-focused exhibitions. While there, we spent time with our clients and learned about new technologies.
The expo floor was full of energy—brilliant technologies, big ideas and people from across the globe all working toward the same goal: better water solutions.
For our team, the event held an extra layer of excitement as Beth and our creative director, Kate Johnson, experienced the event; in person for the first time. And the cherry on top? Seeing our client Aqua Membranes recognized with an Innovation Award for their Printed Spacer Technology® – a global nod to their exceptional patented approach.

In the News
We were thrilled to be featured in Water & Wastewater Asia alongside our partners at Surge for Water, a nonprofit advancing access to safe water and sanitation in communities around the world. The article explores how marketing, when done well, can support equity and expand impact. Surge’s work is a perfect example of that—and we’re proud to help amplify their voice.
On a recent episode of Water We Talking About, our founder Beth joined Jim Lauria and Adam Tank to talk about the power of strategy in water communications—and things got a little…woo-woo.
As part of the podcast fun; Beth got to choose a message to fly behind a plane that would be visible to all water professionals.
Her first pick? “Plant more native plants.”
But the close second, and what we may actually fly with? “Start with strategy.”
Why Strategy Still Matters
That phrase—start with strategy—is more than a banner idea. It’s a mindset we bring to every client engagement. Because without a strategy, even the best creative work struggles to make an impact.
Many water organizations come to us with ambitious goals but limited time, capacity or experience in strategic marketing. We get it. That’s why we offer stand-alone strategy sessions to help teams build clarity, prioritize efforts and map a plan that supports real growth.
Ready to stop guessing and start planning? Let’s talk.
Thanks for being part of the growing Good Water News community. We’re here to support the people who protect, preserve and improve access to clean water—and we love doing it alongside you.
Until next time,
—The Bā Team
P.S. Beth here 👋 I left Aquatech more hopeful than ever about the power of collaboration, and more fired up about helping water teams get their stories out there. Whether you’re looking for a full creative campaign or just some clarity on where to focus—let’s start with strategy.
